What is Signage License?

You need to market your product well that will ensure that your business helps you garner the maximum profit. However, if you want to sell your restaurant either through word of mouth, logos, posters, pictures, and symbols, you are required to obtain a legal permit, which is the signage license. You can get this license from local civil authorities like the Municipal corporations.
These are the licenses required to open a restaurant in India, and these are the papers that will legally permit you to carry on with your restaurant business without getting involved in the legal hindrances.

Procedure to Apply for a Hoarding/ Signage License-

1. Visit the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) nearest to your establishment
2. Submit the duly completed and signed application form, along with required documents and fees at the CFC.

Documents required for Hoarding/Signage License:-

1. NOC from landlord / General body resolution copy / NOC from leaser in case of lease hold land.
2. NOC from commissioner of Police (Traffic), if illuminated.
3. Site Photograph.
4. Plan of proposed hoarding showing existing trees.
5. Certificate of structural stability.
6. Structural design with calculations.
7. Site Location plan.
8. Joint and undertaking Indemnity bond.
